Even though guests who gathered at President Donald Trump s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, never got to see the star hosts of the New Year s Eve bash Trump and first lady Melania Trump they didn t get a discount on their tickets.
Only hours before the much-awaited gala commenced, Trump and his wife returned to Washington D.C., foregoing the festivities amid his last-ditch effort to reverse the results of the 2020 election in his favor and to resolve the highly-anticipated COVID relief bill in the Congress. Nevertheless, the bash went ahead as planned with his friends and family members gathering maskless at his Mar-a-Lago estate along with a stream of other guests.
It is not known how much tickets cost for Trump s 2020 gala.
Ticket prices have gone up every year since the president was elected. In 2018, members of the president s private club paid $650 for tickets, up from $600 in 2017 and $525 in 2016. Guests of Mar-a-Lago members were asked to pay $1,000 up from $750 in 2017 and $575 for guests in 2016.
