The fatal shooting at a Sinclair at 6th and Santa Fe happened when a bicyclist rode into a car wash and shot into a vehicle. Suspect Uriel Rios-Avila was arrested.
Officials say that 54-year-old inmate Anthony A. Montez escaped custody at the Nueces County Jail on New Year's Eve. He was last seen near Lipan Street.
