Current NKWD President/CEO Ronald Lovan announced that he plans to retire on August 1, 2022.
The water district s board of commissioners announced the implementation of a one-year transitional successional plan and named Lindsey Rechtin as the new president/CEO.
Rechtin will work with Lovan in the interim period.\
Lovan has been president at the water district since 2001 and has been responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the district.
In an announcement, he was credited for his work in purchasing the Newport and Taylor Mill water systems, adding significant upgrades to water treatment plants, enhancing customer information and billing systems, and the purchase/remodel of a consolidated, centralized operations and administrative office facility.
