Coming off a 59-point loss last week to Northwest Missouri, the Lincoln Blue Tigers are ready to flush the bad taste out of their mouths. The Blue Tigers will get that opportunity at 7 p.m. today at the Fort Hays State Tigers.
The Lincoln Blue Tigers want to move the ball and move it quickly this season. After a slow start in Year 1 of the Jermaine Gales era, the Blue Tigers want to hit the ground running when the season opens at 7 p.m. today at No. 19 Emporia State. “We want to move the ball fast,” Gales said. “We want to play fast. We are going to tempo and we want to spread the ball around to the guys that are open.”
The Lincoln Blue Tigers opened the Division II outdoor track and field championships Thursday by competing in six events and advanced four individuals and a relay team to the finals at Colorado State Pueblo University’s ThunderBowl Stadium.
The Lincoln Blue Tigers women’s track and field team got pretty comfortable on top of the podium Sunday in the final day of the MIAA outdoor track and field championships at Dwight T. Reed Stadium. The Blue Tigers finished seven events on the podium, making the jump all the way from the bottom of the standings to finish in fourth place with 85 points.
