Hello and welcome to public works tv. My name is natasha reed and im a Structural Engineer for public works and today ill be your host. Before we get started lets take a quick back look at this past week. Chinatown sidewalks are really starting to look good thanks to the hard work of a new crew of street works who are sprucing up the historic neighborhoods. Last week we started on the pedestrians bridge who will connect the mondscone campus north and south. [ inaudible ] to find employment with the homeless and help them get off the streets and into howstion. We also celebrated black History Month to recognize celebrations and achievements of black americans here in the United States and in public works. The third street bridge is located near at t park. It carries thousands of vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists over Mission Creek tunnel every day. I will tell you, i have made quite a number of visits to the site during constructions and some of the beams and bolts are the largest and strongest i have seen in construction. It makes sense for both if they have the ability to negotiate, thats fine. But for us, the question of whatever is required, if it needs to be revision, theyre smarter to have us incorporate that revision into the permit set instead of having to go wait for another period of time ha that it takes. And its appealable. Youre saying a continuance. I think it makes more sense for all parties. And are you, again, the appellant, talked about access to that area in her house, access to that area in a twin house on one side and then we just heard that, you know, there are stairs up to that formal stairs up to that area in the demolition. Wouldnt there be a permit on file. Not from 1900. No. No. If there was, it wouldnt be a broad assumption unreasonable assumption. We are very, very blessed to have an amazing commission, seven citizens that just serve out the city and love the parks and provide us guidance and love and support, and make sure all voices are heard representing our park and Rec Commission tonight, and i do want to recognize commissioner anderson who is here, the Vice President of the rec and park commission, allen lowe.
