there was a situation like this where president stepped aside and the person who will take his place will not have gotten a single direct vote in the t primary process. it has not happened in a long ne time. there is all this talk about kamala harris, as you have been hearing. there is a little bit of a gap there that has been left open by democratic leadership and certainly by former president obama. so far, not endorsing harris, not even mentioning her name. ev 56 years, joe biden would become a u.s. senator. just five years after that, i think. what an absolute huge risk and huge opportunity for the democratic party. at the main problems i saw with joe biden was he was too old. they have someone, at least by joe 03 statement, 59 years old in kamala harris. if there is a problem, they believe, with his mental acuity, kamala harris has spent much of the last year prosecuting big, big issues for democrats. that, obviously is abortion. i heard you talking about that earlier.
we were told donald trump rewrote his own convention speech in light of the assassination attempt last saturday. in the end and perhaps to no one s surprise, couldn t get there. instead of disciplined, we got rambling with trump delivering a 92-minute so lil kwi. instead of a message of unity and bridge building, trump fell back on old grievances and a dark vision of america. axios reports, quote, the new donald trump soothed and silenced the nation for 28 minutes and then the old trump returned and barked and bored america for 64 minutes more. it was that, at that 28-minute mark, that trump seemed to lose his battle with impulse control. it was billed as trump s golden opportunity to rehabilitate his image and it spiralled out of control. we re not going to make you relive all of it. watch this. they re coming at levels we ve never seen before. it s an invasion indeed and this administration does absolutely nothing to stop them. they re coming from prisons. they re coming
