Well, throughout my life, and as you heard, be i have been at this business of our National Security for actually closer to 40 years. Time goes by since that bio was written. Ive been always a civilian and i have worked in congress. Ive been in the pentagon for several tours and ive been in private industry. Always working on defense issues. As i was making my way up and trying to figure out my career next moves through the ups and downs of life, i would always look up to the people above me and

Specht, captain sullivan and colonel hamilton. To begin with, talking about the article 32 process. Some of the article responses to the committee raised concerns that the judge advocates serving as preliminary hearing officers lack extensive experience dealing specifically with Sexual Assault cases. Other responses indicated that due to the limited scope of article 32 preliminary hearing officers do not have all of the information needed to make a probable cause determination that is binding. The overall assessment was that the staff judge advocate who is often more experienced is in a better position to advise the convening authority on probable cause. Should a judge advoc
Suggesting one productive way of redrawing that history is to think in terms of a complicated and ever shifting set of contests among three sets of actors. Three sets of actors we call native people, settler colonists, and european empires. Obvious to folks what we mean when we think about native peoples, although it should not be that obvious, except to stress it is a plural term. We it is a complicated set of things. We have also been talking about the technical use of the term settler and settler colonists. I wonder if i might embarrass somebody in our room among these wonderful teachers to try to take a crack at defining what we mean by settler colonists in this threepart mix. Theory the settlers believed the land they arrive to belonged to them and not the native people so they had a right to be on that land and the native people could be erased.
