TRIBUTES have been made to a well loved dad-to-be who died in a motorbike crash two days before Christmas. Lewis Taylor, 22, from Burnley, was due to become a dad for the first time in March but sadly died after a car crash on Harold Street in Burnley last Wednesday (December 23). Police were called just before 1pm to reports of a crash on Harold Street where emergency services found Mr Taylor with serious injuries. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. Students gift food and treats to RSPCA for Christmas

They worked together to put together food, treats, toys and bedding for the pet charity. Jemma Holden, manager of Sagacity, said: “I am very proud of the students compassion and efforts they have displayed in securing the donations. Their hard work is incredible. Donations have been collected by the RSPCA and donated to their various centres as well as students putting two boxes together for Oak and Furrows Wildlife Rescue Centre based in Cricklade.” Lewis Taylor, an RSPCA inspector, said: “It has been a very challenging year for many reasons and animal welfare has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic also. The RSPCA has still been rescuing animals, both domestic and wildlife throughout the year and I know these wonderful donations put together by the students of Sagacity Education will provide some much needed Christmas cheer to the many animals in our rescue centres over the festive period.
