Gordon L. Cornell, 88, of Meadow Street, Broadalbin, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Ellis Hospital with family at his side.
He was born in Broadalbin on May 27, 1932, a son of Lewis and Millicent Street Cornell and was a 1950 graduate of Broadalbin High School. Gordie lived in Broadalbin his entire life.
Mr. Cornell was employed as a lab technician at Mohasco Carpet Mills in Amsterdam until its relocation to Dublin, GA in the early 1980s. Later, he worked as a salesman at Jim Longwell Chevrolet until retiring in 1992. After retirement, Gordie worked as a caretaker at the Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery.
