Baltimore City Council members condemned as inadequate communication by Mayor Brandon Scott’s administration during a Labor Day weekend contamination of a portion of the city's water system.
The Baltimore Department of Public Works received clearance by the Maryland Department of the Environment to end the advisory based on water sampling results received Thursday night, the mayor said.
Mayor Brandon Scott said that after reviewing water samples the city had obtained clearance from the Maryland Department of the Environment to lift the precautionary advisory for Baltimore County and a part of the city.
The boil water advisory remains in effect Thursday for some Baltimore City residents and businesses while the city continues to hand out water to those in need.
