Interactive Leonardo Da Vinci exhibit comes to Seattle s Museum of History & Industry A new exhibit is bringing Leonardo da Vinci s designs for flying machines and self-driving vehicles to life - and visitors are invited to interact with them! Author: KING 5 Staff Updated: 4:32 PM PDT July 30, 2021 SEATTLE A new exhibit at Seattle s Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI) is giving visitors fresh insight into the genius of the original Renaissance man: Leonardo Da Vinci. While Da Vinci was known in his time as a painter and sculptor, designs found in his notebooks for flying machines, and self-driving vehicles laid the groundwork for some of the most impactful modern inventions half a millennium later, like helicopters, airplanes, cars, the parachute and the bicycle.

Amazon drivers in Henrietta walk out to protest working conditions

On Easter Sunday, a group of Amazon drivers staged a small walkout protest at the Henrietta distribution center.  The local walkout took its cue from a Reddit video calling for Amazon drivers nationwide to walk out on their duties to protest the conditions they face while working for the online retail giant. Colin Shellard, a local driver, organized the demonstration in Henrietta early Sunday morning. He said his participation puts his job at risk. I know that I ll probably get fired, but that s OK, Shellard said. I want to raise awareness for what drivers are going through. Shellard works for RML Transport Corp., a delivery service partner with Amazon.

Amazon's telehealth program will be available across U.S. this summer

USA TODAY Amazon s virtual health care service, Amazon Care, will be available to all U.S. companies and Amazon employees starting this summer, according to a statement published by the retail giant.  The telehealth service is currently available to Amazon employees and employees of companies in Washington who supply Amazon Care. The app, available for iOS and Android, virtually connects employees and their families to medical professionals allowing patients to live chat with a nurse or doctor via in-app messaging or video.  The program also includes an in-person component in which a medical professional visits a patient s home to provide additional care such as routine blood draws or listening to a patient s lungs among other procedures. Amazon Care’s in-person service will expand to Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Seattle in the coming months.
