You can see the tire marks on this grass. The man was 81yearold howard witt. This is video we got from a witness who heard the crash and ran outside with her cell phone. At one point, you will see authorities breaking the window to get mr. Witt out of the car. Police responded to the call of a single vehicle crash at u. S. 27 and vine street. Detectives discovered the 81yearold of leesburg had been involved in a road rage incident south of the crash site of the motel. After that incident, witnesses told police he was headed north when he veered into oncoming traffic and crashed into a tree. He was later taken to the hospital where he died. Tonight, this is the tree he crashed into. You can still see shattered because the cause of this crash is still under investigation.
