Elton John, Warren Buffett, Sesame Workshop and the co-founders of the Black Lives Matter movement were all honored Saturday night during NBC s Global Citizen Prize telecast.
Others who took home honors include Bryan Stevenson, LifeBank Global CEO Temie Giwa-Tubosun and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. All were recognized for their efforts in shaping the world and doing pivotal work to help end extreme poverty.

International advocacy organization Global Citizen today announced the winners of the 2020 Global Citizen Prize.
Bryan Stevenson, Sir Elton John, Temie Giwa-Tubosun, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Warren Buffett, Sesame Workshop and the Black Lives Matter Movement will be recognized for their efforts in shaping the world we want and doing pivotal work to help end extreme poverty.
