The Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce recently completed its 2021 Annual Chamber Awards to recognize businesses based on performance, events and milestones in 2020.
“We are extremely happy with the amount of people who followed, liked, and commented about our recipients on our social media platforms,” said Chamber President/CEO Mark Verville. “The heavy snow we received the week of February 15 affected some of our scheduled pictures, but maybe people had a little extra time to scroll through Facebook to find us.”

VAN WERT – The 5th Annual Rivals United 2021 is a wrap. This year’s
event proposed many challenges for all involved, but that didn’t stop
the Lincolnview and Crestview communities from coming together for this
great cause.
Executive Director of the United Way of Van Wert
County, Vicki Smith along with student council and staff members from
each school collaborated to come up with some COVID-worthy”
money-raising events that helped this year’s Rivals United be the
biggest ever. As usual, the weather caused three cancellation days
during the week but thankfully didn’t pose a threat to the events

Eaton has been a longtime supporter of the YMCA and Camp Clay by sponsoring their youth sports, business days at Camp Clay, and the aquatics program. The money will be used to support the Summer Camp program at YMCA Camp Clay and other YMCA programs.
The Y will be purchasing a van that will allow it to provide for an incredible camp experience for summer campers. In addition to the traditional camp programming, the YMCA tries to give campers an off-camp experience in accordance with the camp’s theme of the week.
