CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Two races into his return to Joe Gibbs Racing, Christopher Bell already has both a Cup Series victory and, more important, some of his confidence back.
Bell plodded through a rocky rookie season last year while on loan to another team. JGR didn t have an open Cup car for the longtime Toyota development driver, so Bell was moved outside the organization to log seat time.

Christopher Bell may look like a teenager who needs a curfew, but he has accomplished more at age 26 than most racers do in a lifetime. That’s what makes him a future star in the NASCAR Cup Series.
An established dirt racer, Bell made the transition to stock cars in 2015 and worked his way up the NASCAR ladder. He made his mark as a winner in the Camping World Truck Series, where he was the 2017 champion, and the Xfinity Series, where he should have won the title twice if not for the playoff system.
