to protect all americans. specifically, what help are you asking for for those most vulnerable right now, men who have sex with men, what are you calling on them to do? we have been working closely, and we thank the lbgtq plus community for the help they have provided in getting education and information out to the community what monkeypox is, what it looks like, what it would take to contract it. and what you should do if you think you may have it. so all of that information helps. they would then report to their local public health officials. we need those local public health officials to coordinate with us, so we have the data that helps us drive our support where it s needed most. i would be remiss not to ask you about tomorrow, marking the american with disabilities act.
democrats and yourself can win on? well, i think making sure that people understand the risk that we all face, these fundamental rights that we have enjoyed. you know, the right to privacy. the right to marry. those are not rights specifically outlined in the constitution. those rights are at risk and if we can help people understand that, that s something we need to do. because there are so many rights we value as americans that in my opinion are now at risk. so will i be speaking up and campaigning on the threats to our liberties as americans? you better believe it. i will. because this is about, like i say, more than the lbgtq plus community. this is about who we are as a people and if the supreme court is going to say that our rights are based on what was written in the constitution in 1788 when
the supreme court will be further entrenched by at least that new nominee being a justice on the supreme court? well, having a biden nominee confirmed would absolutely give us a bit of comfort, knowing that that nominee would be in favor of the civil rights for all. not just the lbgtq plus community, but for all civil rights for all. so that would give us some comfort. but i have to say, ali, even though we have the right to get married in all 50 states, we still don t enjoy what i consider to be marriage equality. because there are continued efforts to deny us the same rights, the same protections in our marriages. all you have to do is look at public businesses who are demanding the right to refuse to serve us, whether that s a baker, a photographer, a printer, it doesn t matter. we have the right to marry, but
