Don't Be a Karen - The Good Men Project

The Good Men Project Become a Premium Member We have pioneered the largest worldwide conversation about what it means to be a good man in the 21st century. Your support of our work is inspiring and invaluable. Don’t Be a Karen The Antiracist White Chick: Episode 9 Silence from a friend or colleague can not only be harmful, it can cost you your job and definitely your friendship.  Now imagine if that silence can actually cost someone their life…because it can. Silence is complicity in allowing the systems of violence, inequity, and suppression to continue.  White silence of any kind makes you a Karen so don’t be a Karen.

Image: Vicky Leta/Mashable 2021-02-24 10:01:00 UTC While supporting Black creators and getting educated on Black history and anti-racism are things we all should be doing every month of the year, Black History Month is a great reminder to put even more time and energy into those pursuits. Instead of reading the same social justice Instagram graphics over and over again, you could give your time (and money!) to Black educators who have put together online classes covering everything from African history to modern-day anti-racism.
