The Bruins are back in action for a matchup against Oregon State on Sunday, Feb. 21. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. PT on ESPN 2. It will be the first game between the Bruins and Beavers this season, as the first scheduled contest on Jan. 1 was postponed. A WIN WOULD.
• Improve the Bruins to 14-3 overall and 12-3 in Pac-12 play, and earn the Bruins their fourth-straight victory.

Assisting the UCLA Bruins women’s basketball team to be one of the toughest programs in the United States has not hindered senior forward, Lauryn Miller, from excelling in her academics.
Miller has earned recognition for her studies during the 2019-2020 season when she was named on the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll. The award is given to student athletes whose roster has a cumulative 3.3 GPA. During that season, she had 30 starts and earned five double-doubles.

Why UCLA’s Michaela Onyenwere is no longer silent on and off the court [Los Angeles Times :: BC-BKW-UCLA-ONYENWERE:LA]
For two years at UCLA, people pronounced Michaela Onyenwere’s name as “On-yen-where.” It was listed as so in the media guide. The public address announcer called it out at Pauley Pavilion during starting lineups. Her coaches said it during interviews with reporters.
It wasn’t correct.
“Own-yen-way-day,” she clarified for ESPN’s Holly Rowe during an interview in March 2019.
The 6-foot forward had already earned her first All-Pac-12 honor and led the Bruins to their fourth consecutive NCAA regional semifinal before speaking up. She has not stopped using her voice since.
LOS ANGELES - Michaela Onyenwere led all scorers with 19 points, adding seven rebounds, but the 10th-ranked Bruins dropped a 61-49 decision to No. 1 Stanford on Monday afternoon at Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom.
The Bruins (5-2, 3-2 Pac-12) had the top two scorers in the game, as Emily Bessoir accounted for 15 points, which tied a season best, adding five boards. Charisma Osborne posted seven points, five rebounds and four assists. Lindsey Corsaro dished out six assists, while Lauryn Miller grabbed six rebounds and tied a career high with four steals.
Stanford (7-0, 4-0) guard Anna Wilson opened the scoring with a triple off a loose ball, but Natalie Chou followed with a strong and-one lay-in to tie the score (8:32). Stanford rattled off six-straight points to take a 9-3 lead before Bessoir knocked down a triple from the top of the key to make it a three-point game (5:55). Kiana Williams and Francesca Belibi answered with buckets for the Cardinal, putting Stanford ahead 14-6
