Lt. Laurence Clemente The USS John C. Stennis is a Nimitz-class nuclear-powered supercarrier in the United States Navy, named for Democratic Senator John C. Stennis of Mississippi.
The Surface Navy Association has awarded its Admiral Arleigh Burke Surface Warfare Operational Excellence Award to Lt. Laurence Clemente, the auxiliaries division officer aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis.
Clemente is the son of Claudia and Laurence Clemente of Goshen and a graduate of Goshen High School.
The Surface Navy Association’s Arleigh Burke Award is presented to those who most clearly exemplify the extraordinary qualities, vision and incisiveness of the nineteenth Chief of Naval Operations.
