FAYETTEVILLE Two weeks after the University of Arkansas men s and women s track and field teams celebrated winning his and hers SEC championship trophies at home, they had an even bigger party in Albuquerque, N.M., on Saturday night.
A national championship decided in the 4 x 400 relay is a very dramatic way to conclude a meet. The Arkansas women, leading by two points over Texas, delivered a world all-time best relay to secure the fourth NCAA Indoor team title and seventh overall for the program.
