Fairfield planning panel attendance rule; reboot on pot shop applications gain approval
FAIRFIELD Members of the city Planning Commission who miss three consecutive regularly scheduled meetings or five in a 12-month period without being excused can now be removed by the City Council.
The council this week introduced the ordinance setting the new regulation. The final approval will come at the council’s next meeting.
“The proposed attendance standard includes a provision to allow absences due to family or medical emergency,” the staff report to the council states.
At the same meeting Tuesday, the council also effectively restarted the application process for two retail cannabis permits.
