Lady Boss: The Jackie Collins Story for distribution
Lady Boss: The Jackie Collins Story will be distributed by Modern Films, the production company announced on Monday (May 17).
Modern acquired the documentary, which is directed by Laura Fairrie and produced by John Battsek. The film follows the life and work of Collins (pictured), a prolific author who sold more than 500 million copies of her work, and who became a feminist icon in the 1980s. The British-American millionaire actress had a turbulent life and success story that often inspired her hit novels.
The film was also produced by Passion Pictures, AGC Studios, CNN Films and BBC Arts.

Overseeing the company’s development and production of non-fiction content for film and TV as well as building the studio’s episodic non-fiction and unscripted output and contributing to the company’s feature documentary slate Levin (pictured) will report to AGC Studio owner Stuart Ford and AGC Television president Lourdes Diaz.
The Tribeca Film Festival reveals its line-up

Yesterday, the Tribeca Film Festival revealed its 2021 line-up. This year’s selection includes 66 films spanning three competitive strands. 56 of these titles are world premieres.
The festival will run from 9-20 June in a hybrid form, comprising in-person events at outdoor venues across all five boroughs of New York. The gathering will be opened by the world premiere of
Jon M Chu’s
Lin-Manuel Miranda’s stage musical of the same name.
