The latest figures from Data.Police.UK has revealed that Nessus Street in Portsmouth and Haltons Close in the New Forest were the top hotspots for crime in April. The data shows out of the 14,993 crimes recorded in Hampshire (excluding the Isle of Wight), the most reported type of crime was categorised as ‘violence and sexual offences’ with 5,304 incidents. Anti-social behaviour was the second most reported crime with 3,124 incidents and a total of 1,612 public order crimes were recorded. At the bottom of the scale was theft from a person which received 50 reports.

KRISTA LORAINNE CAMPBELL, 34, of Powell Crescent, Totton. Found guilty of assault by beating, intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress, and criminal damage. Indicated a guilty plea to assaulting a police officer. Community order made until June 24 this year to include a six week electronically monitored curfew from 10pm to 6am each day. Ordered to pay compensation of £515.50. ALANA FITZMAURICE, 38, of Carlton Road, Bournemouth. Pleaded guilty to drink driving. Fined £450 and disqualified for 17 months. Ordered to pay £45 victim surcharge and £150 court costs.
