SCOOTER: Man denies drink driving e-scooter in Worcester A MAN has denied drunk driving an e-scooter in a Worcester street without a licence or insurance. Edvians Suboc, also known under aliases Artur Suboc and Edvilas Suboc, appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court and pleaded not guilty to three charges. The 28-year-old, of Langdale Drive, Worcester, is accused of driving the e-scooter on Windermere Drive when he had 85mcg of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the legal limit. Suboc also denied not having insurance to use the vehicle in Brickfields Road, and not having a licence authorising him to drive a motor vehicle of that class on a public road.

COVID: 101 cases recorded in county THE number of new coronavirus cases in the county has continued to rise according to the latest figures with almost half of the cases recorded in Worcester. Public Health England said a total of 101 cases were recorded in Worcestershire in the week up to May 20 - a rise of 63 per cent compared to the week before. The latest figures show 49 cases were recorded in the city in the week up to May 20 - a rise of 104 per cent compared to the previous week. The infection rate in Worcester is now 48.4 cases per 100,000 people. A total of 17 cases were recorded in Malvern Hills - a rise of 21 per cent compared to the previous week and 12 cases were recorded in Wychavon which includes Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich.
