Buklod ng Manggagawa sa ES Transport pesident Joji Vizconde Jr. said the company was owed P20 million in 2021, and that only a few drivers were paid their salary.
"Drivers and operators no longer earn much from transport," he said in Filipino, saying this was "one of the things that will help to alleviate the burden of the price of petroleum."
"The LTFRB intends to deploy mystery riders in the next few days to check on the compliance of the TNCs and TNVS operators on the proper fare structure and the terms and conditions the MC," the board said in a statement sent to reporters.
"There has never been any prohibition to operate beyond the window hours but operators continue to mislead passengers by announcing that they will only operate during the window hours," the statement reads.
