RANCHI: A day after incarcerated RJD president Lalu Prasad had a health scare, his wife and former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi, sons Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap along with daughter Misa Bharti visited him at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (Rims) on Friday to inquire about his condition.
On Thursday evening, a team of doctors rushed to Lalu’s paying ward after he complained of breathlessness. The doctors later said he had a mild bout of pneumonia. A Rims medical bulletin on Friday said Lalu s condition is stable. “We have conducted various tests to check his blood parameters, including electrocardiogram, X-ray and Covid-19 tests through rapid antigen and RT-PCR as well and the results are negative. On Friday, Lalu was taken for a high-resolution CT scan and the report is awaited,” the bulletin said.

Jailed Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Yadav will be shifted to AIIMS in Delhi from Ranchi hospital as his condition deteriorated. Yadav is currently being treated for lung infection in Ranchi.
The decision was taken by the Board of doctors at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences. He was granted permission to shift to Delhi the jail authorities.

Imprisoned Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)president Lalu Prasad on Saturday was shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi for better treatment as his health deteriorated at the Ranchi-based Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS). Mr. Prasad, convicted in several cases related to the fodder scam, was undergoing treatment for multiple diseases at RIMS.
“Lalu Prasad is having trouble breathing for the last two days. On Friday, he was found to be having pneumonia. Considering his age (72), we have decided to shift him to AIIMS-Delhi, on the advice of a panel of doctors, for better treatment,” RIMS Director Dr. Kameshwar Prasad told mediapersons.
