We continue to see increasing threats to the grid originating both at home and abroad. Im glad to see the doe and ferc and others taking steps to address the growing dangers posed by nefarious actors. Our energy grid serves as the backbone of our economy Touching Every aspect of our lives and a reliable grid is also crucial to our National Security and for a clean energy future. Going to get warmer for some of us for most, that is correct. We do have a little change in our pattern after a cooldown on wednesday, especially thursday. Inland areas, there were some only mid 70s for some 50s on the temps to san joses 58, but palo alto dropped to 51. Now 52, the tropical cloud monsoon moisture continues to be close to taos, up near the oregon border in northeast california, but not a lot in the state, but its close. This shutdown is difficult because it wasnt quite clear what would happen. Even though shorter time we still had about one third of the National Park units shutdown. Yet reports of graffiti and looting. In todays we so many things happening inside parks. With one third of the parts closed many a shutout. When that happens are there no staff to help with the guides or safety or things like that . The guides are not considered essential. Bathrooms are close. Youll have a patrol person. It was so parks are 2 million acres, theres no way you can guarantee safety. Its a small crew that would be there for safety. As far as food and money collected that was affected two. No fees were collected in the Visitor Centers are closed and interpreters can to their job. People were on their own. As were issued this morning. The fire started yesterday afternoon. Right near the top of loma mountain. It has burned through 1000 acres. At this point it is 5 contained. Jeanine is live in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Reporter we have driven all the way up this road. This is a very rural road. And from here, we stopped as soon as we saw flames and could get a cell phone signal. And you can see we apologize, it looks like we have lost her. It is important to know, that people are being told to essentially be ready to evacuate their homes, should the fire continue to push towards their homes. We are seeing pictures from one mans home he was loading up what he needs but he says, that he is going to stay as long as he can. He is concerned about looters.
