In response to the crime in Shreveport Reverend Timothy Jones, senior pastor of Peaceful Rest Baptist Church and Bishop L. Lawrence Brandon, senior pastor of Praise Temple will host the Night of Prayer, Save Our City Campaign at Peaceful Rest located at 8200 St. Vincent Ave on Monday, May 17.
“It s important for the ENTIRE community to stand up to crime because we want our neighbors safe, our children safe, we don t want to live afraid and without the freedom to live life unencumbered,” Brandon said.
He hopes that all local churches can work within their surrounding areas to create unity and have an open dialogue with leadership to curb “the rampant violence in this area.”
