Two days after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) issued him a notice, Bollywood director Karan Johar on Friday responded by submitting a pen drive and some documents through his representatives.
The NCB on Wednesday issued a notice to Johar over a video of his party which he had organised in 2019 went viral on social media. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Sirsa, who has lodged a complaint, said that celebrities used drugs in the said party, an allegation which Johar had refuted last year.
An official said, “We will seek experts’ help and analyse the pen drive and documents submitted by Johar. Accordingly we will decide our future course of action.”

MUMBAI: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has sent a notice to filmmaker Karan Johar in connection with the alleged drug party at his residence in 2019 in which several Bollywood personalities were seen in a viral video.
An NCB official said that a notice has been given with regard to the video which was in circulation. The NCB had received a complaint from Manjinder Singh Sirsa in this regard and was marked to the Maharashtra Zonal Unit. To check the veracity of the video the notice has been sent, said the official.

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has been asked to explain a widely-circulated video shot, at his home in July last year, during a party in which social media users alleged drugs were consumed, NCB sources said Thursday night. The video, which also shows several top stars, is being investigated as part of the anti-drugs agency s probe into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June.

Actor Arjun Rampal, who was summoned for the second time by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), has sought time till December 22 to appear before the agency citing “personal reasons”. On Tuesday, the NCB issued summons to the actor after it found some fresh evidence in connection with a drugs case registered following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
A senior officer, on condition of anonymity, said, “We have not responded to his request so far.”
The NCB had questioned Rampal and his partner, Gabriella Demetriades, last month and arrested Gabriella’s brother Agisilaos in the case.

Actor Arjun Rampal, summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), has sought more time to appear before the agency. He has sought time till December 22, said a source privy to the development. NCB had asked Rampal to appear before them on Wednesday in a drug-related case.
NCB sources stated that Rampal has been summoned again in view of the fresh details emerging out of their probe. Sources said that the summons was necessitated after certain revelations made by the actor in his earlier statement proved contradictory in nature with the investigations conducted with another accused being probed by the agency.
