STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Four more borough residents are believed to have succumbed to the coronavirus (COVID-19), even as disease-related hospitalizations here dropped to the lowest level this year.
At the same time, more than 60 new confirmed coronavirus cases were added to Staten Island’s total, city Health Department data shows.
As of 1 p.m. Friday, 1,809 Staten Islanders are believed to have died from complications related to the coronavirus, according to the most recent data available.

At the same time, Staten Island’s coronavirus hospitalization count remained unchanged.
As of 1 p.m. Wednesday, 1,804 Staten Islanders are believed to have died from complications related to the coronavirus, according to the most recent data available.
Tuesday’s tally was 1,800.
In addition, 210 fatalities were in the “probable” category, the same figure as on Monday and Tuesday.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Coronavirus (COVID-19) hospitalizations on Staten Island have dipped to the lowest level since early November, one day after briefly rising.
At the same time, there was no change in the borough’s suspected coronavirus death total, while 45 new confirmed cases of the disease were recorded here, city Health Department data shows.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Coronavirus (COVID-19) hospitalizations in the borough plunged yet again on Tuesday to a new low this year, after a brief one-day upswing.
At the same time, two more residents have succumbed to the disease, while 70 new confirmed coronavirus cases were added to Staten Island’s tally, city Health Department data shows.
As of Tuesday afternoon, 72 coronavirus in-patients were being treated in the borough’s two hospital systems. That number was down 13 from Monday’s tally of 85.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. The borough’s coronavirus (COVID-19) hospitalization total fell even closer to double-digits, while four more suspected disease-related deaths were recorded here.
At the same time, just over 100 new confirmed coronavirus cases were added to Staten Island’s total, city Health Department data shows.
As of Thursday afternoon, 102 coronavirus in-patients were being treated in the borough’s two hospital systems. That count dropped six from Wednesday’s tally of 108.
