The incident took place on Adavi Kotturu outskirts in Palasa municipality of Srikakulam district. A few days ago, a video of her carrying the dead body went viral on all social media platforms. Many appreciated her and DGP D Gautam Sawang presented the DGP’s Commendation Certificate to  Sirisha. A promo of Maguva Maguv Lokaniki Telusa Ne Viluva has been released. This is going to be telecasted on Zee Telugu Channel on the occasion of Women s Day. In this program, the makers of the show are going to felicitate the women who stood special in various fields.

Kotturu Sirisha was informed of a body that no one was willing to claim or cremate. She carried the man on a stretcher with help from a volunteer from NGO Lalitha Trust and arranged for the cremation.

Women in India are in no way inferior to work done by men and this has been proved time and again. In this instance, people are hailing a woman police sub-inspector from Srikakulam district for carrying the dead body of a homeless old man for more than a kilometer, after local villagers refused to come forward to touch or help carry the body. According to reports, Kasibugga police received information about the death of an unknown person in the farm fields in Adavi Kotturu at Sampangi Puram, Kasibugga-Palasa area on Monday morning. Sub-inspector Kotturu Sirisha  reached the place along with constables. She said that since it was difficult to get the body to the vehicle as it was located in the farms, she requested villagers to help but  they refused.
