Perak to receive 79,560 vaccine doses 21 Feb 2021 / 21:00 H. Mohd Akmal Kamaruddin - Bernama IPOH, Feb 21: Perak is expected to receive 79,560 doses of COVID-19 vaccines under the first phase of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme. State Health, Environmental Science and Green Technology Committee chairman Mohd Akmal Kamaruddin said in the first phase, a total of 33,503 frontline staff would receive the vaccine shots. Also included would be Menteri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad and members of the state executive council. According to Mohd Akmal, a total of 49 vaccination centres (PPV) have been made available throughout the state for the first phase, including the Indera Mulia Stadium, here, while additional locations for the second and third phases will be identified by the district officer.

IPOH, Dec18 The Perak State Legislative Assembly sitting today made history when the state Supply Bill 2021 or the state budget was unanimously passed after being tabled by newly appointed Mentri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad on Wednesday. The deficit budget involving an allocation of RM1.215 billion was approved after being debated by 12 State Assemblymen, six from the government bloc and six from the opposition. Saarani (BN-Kota Tampan) when winding up the debate said that under the National Digital Network (Jendela) plan announced on August 29, a total of 146 new communication transmitter sites will be built together with the upgrading of 1,406 communication transmitters at existing towers throughout the state.

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 16 The Election Commission (EC) conforms with the declaration of Emergency Proclamation for the Gerik parliamentary constituency, Perak and the Bugaya state constituency in Sabah, in effect cancelling the by-elections for both seats, said its chairman Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh. The Declaration of Emergency Proclamation based on Clause (1) of Article 150 of the Federal Constitution allows an ordinance to be proclaimed under Clause (2B) of Article 150 to revoke the date set for the by-elections for Gerik parliamentary seat and Bugaya state seat, after it received consent from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al -Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, he said.
