SOFIA: Bulgaria, eager to encourage holiday-makers to its Black Sea resorts, will ease rules for entry to the Balkan country from May 1, its outgoing health minister Kostadin Angelov said on Friday. From May 1, when the tourist season starts, we will allow entry in the country in three ways: with a vaccination certificate, with a negative test result from a PCR or an antigen test, Kostadin Angelov told reporters.

From the beginning of May, those arriving in Bulgaria will be able to be released from the mandatory quarantine if they are vaccinated - with two doses for the vaccines of Pfizer / BioNTech , Modern , Astra Zeneca and one for the vaccine of Jansen - and present an official certificate to that effect.
The final provision has not yet been published, but according to the request of the Minister of Health, vaccination will be required to be completed at least two weeks before arrival in Bulgaria, because it is believed that then the human body has built a defense. Quarantine will also be lifted for those who have had SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) if they show a positive PCR or coronavirus antigen test.
