Dr. Christine Perkins, who has been Superintendent since 2017, resigned to accept a similar position with School District 22 - Vernon effective August 1, 2021.
Kootenay Lake School Board is now looking for another captain to manage the bridge of the Nelson-Creston area District after current Superintendent of Schools/CEO, Dr. Christine Perkins resigned.
Monday, the Kootenay Lake School District announced that Perkins has accepted the the Superintendent/CEO position with School District 22 - Vernon effective August 1, 2021.
“The Board of Education would like to thank Dr. Perkins for the last four years of her leadership,” said Board Chair, Lenora Trenaman in a media release.
