According to information from the Brownwood Police Department, on Friday, February 12, 2021, at approximately 6:20 am officers were dispatched to the WashBrite Laundry in the 1300 block of Coggin Ave regarding a suspicious vehicle. When Officer Peyton Donahoo arrived and attempted to make contact with the unconscious driver, Donahoo was able to wake the driver and identified him as Kolton Reeves, 23, of Early.  Reeves was asked to exit the vehicle and when he did, a box fell from his lap to the ground.  The box contained several “individual popsicle-style packages filled with Vodka.” Due to the findings at the scene, Reeves was checked for possible intoxication.  While doing so, Reeves also provided consent to search his vehicle.  Inside the driver’s side door pocket, a clear baggy containing pills were identified by Reeves.  Reeves also admitted to not having a prescription for the pills.  He was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Drug.

Arrests made for continuous family violence; drug possession and burglary

On Monday, February 15, 2021, at approximately 10:10 p.m. Officer James Wells and Jessica Risdon were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 4200 block of US Hwy 377 regarding a report of a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived, they were told that the male suspect ran from the apartment and into an adjacent residential neighborhood. Officer Wells met with the female victim at her apartment and learned that she and her boyfriend, 21-year-old Christian Lee Gandy, just returned home. They began arguing for no real reason, so the female went to the balcony to remove herself from him. Gandy also entered the balcony and began yelling at the female and eventually throwing her around by her hair. The female began yelling for help and the neighbors exited their apartments to investigate which caused Gandy to flee.
