Streets in Dum Dum, Kankurgachi, Patipukur and several roads in south Kolkata saw waterlogging, and commuters faced inconvenience as the traffic slowed down.
As per the weather office, heavy to very heavy rainfall is predicted in South 24 Parganas, East and West Medinipur, Purulia, Bankura West Bardhaman, Birbhum, Murshidabad, and Jhargram districts on Tuesday.
According to the forecast, a few spells of rain are likely on Saturday. The maximum temperature may hover around 30 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature may be around 26 degrees Celsius.
