Beautiful handmade, crocheted decorations covering the bollards are appearing throughout the centre in this huge community collaboration. From sunflowers to fairies, Scarecrows to bumblebees, there is something for everyone. From Royal British Legion to community groups such as Knitter Knatter and the University of the 3rd Age plus individual residents have come together to celebrate Romsey in all its glory. The bollard covers can be seen spanning the town centre to the Abbey. Trish Foreman, spokesperson for the Yarn Bomb Project said: “It felt like a good theme after Covid, and it s what we wanted to do last year. “There are about 6o or more bollards covered. It’s a real community thing and so many people stop to say they love them, and they thank us for doing it. They are so positive.”
