The Judiciary partnered with the National Museums of Kenya to turn the Supreme Court basement, where a number of Kenyan politicians were locked up, into a museum.
The cells inside the basement served as detention areas for political prisoners like George Anyona, Raila Odinga, Maina wa Kinyati,cEdward Oyugi, Willy Mutunga, Koigi Wamwere and many others.
The facility located in the Eastern wing of the Supreme Court Building basement is one of its kind in East Africa.

The National Assembly will Tuesday afternoon approve the appointment of seven MPs to the powerful 12-member House Business Committee (HBC).
The HBC is the top decision making organ of the National Assembly. It sets the day to day agenda of business to be transacted by the House.
The seven MPs who sat in the committee chaired by Speaker Justin Muturi during the 4th Session have been reappointed to serve for a further one year.

The man who served as State House superintendent of gardens during President Daniel Moi s tenure was on Saturday laid to rest.
Bishop David Kalua, a one-time prisons warden, was buried at his Unyaa village home in Kitui county.
The ceremony was presided over by members of the clergy and local politicians.
Kalua, who died at the age of 83, was eulogised as a true servant of the Lord and a distinguished environmentalist.
