Premium beer company Bira 91 on Tuesday announced it has raised $70 million in Series D funding, led by leading Japanese beer firm Kirin Holdings.The funds will be deployed to expand Bira 91's production capacity by commissioning new breweries .
Campaign group Justice for Myanmar has criticised Kirin Holding's 'irresponsible' exit from the Myanmar market and the way it has given complete control of Myanmar Brewery to Myanma Economic Holdings Limited (MEHL).
