(Bismarck, ND) The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) is changing protocol for COVID-19 case investigations. The changes were announced on Monday and come because of a huge surge in case numbers, according to NDDoH Disease Control and Forensic Pathology Section Chief, Kirby Kruger.
Thursday, January 13, at 11:00a.m. CT the North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) will host a live virtual Town Hall to discuss topics surrounding the COVID-19 Omicron variant, including infectiousness, severity, vaccine protection, treatments and more.
“The data doesn’t seem to be speaking to the people anymore,” said Grace Njau, an epidemiologist with the state Department of Health. “It’s not just COVID. It’s a much bigger battle, and unfortunately I don’t know if we’re on the winning side.”
