The daughters of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcom X will be in Tucson, capping off several days of Juneteenth festivities, including a festival, screening and more.
Strategist and peace advocate Bernice King, daughter of Martin Luther King Jr., and Ilyasah Shabazz, award-winning author, educator and daughter of Malcom X, will speak together at the Juneteenth event. This year marks the first time the university will observe Juneteenth as a paid holiday.
