Kingfisher Real Estate announced that it brokered Sanibel’s new highest price home sale.
Phaidra McDermott, owner of Kingfisher Real Estate, represented the seller and also procured the buyer on the Gulf-front property, at 4381 West Gulf Drive. The residence sold for $11 million.
Situated on a high beach ridge overlooking the sparkling, azure waters of the Gulf of Mexico, the property offers the perfect sunset location, according to Kingfisher Real Estate.
The previous record-breaking sale on Sanibel had been achieved by McDermott in 2017 for the property at 3577 West Gulf Drive.

Sanibel voters will have several choices to pick from in the city’s upcoming March 2 election.
Six people are campaigning to take up the seats currently held by Mayor Mick Denham, who is not seeking re-election, and Councilmembers Chauncey Goss and Jerry Muench, who were appointed late last year to replace former Mayor Kevin Ruane and Councilmember Jason Maughan for the interim.
The pool of candidates includes Mary Bondurant, Scott Crater, Tim Drobnyk, John Henshaw, Jason Maughan and Mike Miller. Elections held for Sanibel City Council seats are non-partisan races.
