Adams waives exam, bound to circuit court in meth case

HILLSDALE A Saginaw man arrested May 18 after running from the police on foot in the city of Hillsdale waived his rights to a preliminary examination hearing Wednesday and requested his case be bound to the 1st Judicial Circuit Court for arraignment at 8:30 a.m. June 7.
Jason Michael Adams, 31, is charged with resisting arrest and possession of methamphetamine.
In the afternoon hours of May 18, the Hillsdale City Police Department was dispatched to Garden Apartments on Barr Street for a report of a man passed out in a car.
Hearings delayed in child pornography case

Preliminary hearings scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in the case of an Allen man charged with six counts of possession of child sexually abusive materials has been adjourned two weeks.
Joshua Luke Curey, 39, appeared in court as scheduled and sat next to his attorney, Kimm Burger, but Hillsdale County Prosecuting Attorney Neal Brady requested a two-week adjournment as his office was having difficulty finding a key witness in the case needed to establish probable cause that a crime was committed and that Curey is the one who committed the crime.
“If we can’t find her, it’s going to be a problem,” Brady said.
