Further protests are planned for later this week.
Protests will be held outside a number of hospitals from this morning to highlight how the Covid-19 restrictions are affecting maternity patients and their partners.
@AIMSIreland are organising safe socially distance protests all over the country this week.

An online conference took place on April 24 to discuss the question of winning a united Ireland. There were no official organisers of the event. The Facebook page stated only that “Trade unionists, socialists and activists have come together to organise a ‘Conference for an Alternative United Ireland’, to discuss the possibilities of eradicating the border and shaping a different Ireland in the interests of the majority.”

“If you don’t know what the locust swarms look like, you’re never going see them in the distance. They blend into the land,” says Max Taylour, the helicopter’s young sharp-eyed logistician.

Then a crackle comes over the radio from headquarters – coordinates for a swarm which has been called in by one of the ground teams.
