Orlando expands Kidz Zone into 3 new neighborhoods
Programs now in Holden Heights, Mercy Drive and Engelwood neighborhoods

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando is expanding its Kidz Zone program into three additional neighborhoods.
The Kidz Zone program is now taking root in the Holden Heights, Mercy Drive and Englewood neighborhoods, according to the city.

The city announced the expansion in a news release on Wednesday.
“This expansion of these Kidz Zones is another way we remain committed to change and continue to invest in increasing equity throughout our city,” Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer said in the release. “We have seen great success with the Parramore Kidz Zone and I look forward to watching our local youth, learn and grow in more neighborhoods throughout the city.”

The Damascus Ruritan Club is making plans for its annual spring swiss steak dinner Saturday, March 13. Due to Covid restrictions, the club was forced to make other plans. A complete dinner with dessert will be served via a drive-thru from 4-7 p.m. at the Damascus Friends Church west parking lot. Cost is $10, $5 for those under 12. Tickets are available at the Damascus Branch of the Farmers National Bank, Damascus Hardware, the Kids Zones stores in Salem and Alliance and any club member. Proceeds from the dinner provides financial help to the club in giving scholarships to deserving seniors of West Branch High School in June.
