There are two events this weekend, a team event on the Kampen Course and then an individual event on the Ackerman-Allen Course. Both tournaments will be 54 holes events with 36 holes scheduled for Saturday and 18 holes scheduled for Sunday.

Defending Champion Clemson Heads to Palmetto Intercollegiate Clemson, S.C Larry Penley’s Clemson men’s golf team heads to Aiken, SC Monday in pursuit of a second straight and fifth title in the team’s last eight appearances at the Palmetto Intercollegiate at famed Palmetto Club.    The Tigers are ranked eighth in the nation in the latest Collegiate Golf Coaches poll, the highest ranking of any team in the field and third among ACC schools. Clemson has won the tournament in 2012, 2014, 2017 and 2020, and has nine Palmetto championships overall.  Clemson has played in the event off and on since 1968.  Penley has nine of his 79 tournament championships at the Palmetto Intercollegiate.

Clemson Finishes Second at Kiawah Invitational Clemson, S.C. Jacob Bridgeman, Turk Pettit and William Nottingham all had top 10 finishes and Kyle Cottam had a final round 69 to finish 16th to lead Clemson to a second-place team finish out of 14 teams at the Kiawah Invitational at Oak Point Golf Club on Kiawah Island, SC. Clemson had the best score of the 14 teams in each of the last two rounds, but Wake Forest was 16 shots better than Clemson in the opening round on Monday, and thus won the tournament with an 827 score, 37-under-par.  The Tigers were second 836, 28-under, while Kentucky was third at 839.   East Tennessee State was fourth at 840, while Iowa and UNC-Wilmington tied for fifth at 850.
