Goodwill stores in the Lehigh Valley will temporarily stop accepting donated items
Updated Jan 25, 2021;
The New Year clean outs have filled up local Goodwills, so much so that the nonprofit announced Monday its centers in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding region will temporarily stop accepting donations.
Goodwill Keystone Area, which covers 22 counties in southeast and central Pennsylvania, said due to “overwhelming support” it would stop collecting goods at its donation centers starting Wednesday.
The stoppage will last through the end of February.
Goodwill thrift stores will remain open for shopping and, because of the surge in donated items, there are new job openings. A list of available jobs can be found here.
