NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The man who killed Kevin “Hollywood” Hein pleaded no contest Friday to a reduced charge of felony murder.
Casey Cameron, 37, had been charged with first-degree intentional homicide and other counts for killing Hein Oct. 14, 2019, at the Short Branch Saloon in Neenah.
But at Friday’s hearing, the charge was changed to felony murder/armed robbery which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, instead of a mandatory life prison term for intentional homicide. Cameron was also convicted of six counts of recklessly endangering safety, each of which has a maximum sentence of 12.5 years in prison.
