Ferry Operations Resume After Parts Obtained - The Waterways Journal

The Dorena-Hickman Ferry has reopened following a week-long closure caused by the inability of the operator to receive parts for repairs in a timely manner.

State highways are snowy and slick this morning as salt truck and snowplow crews continue working in the wake of a winter storm. As of 7 a.m., road conditions were reported as partly to mostly covered with snow in northeast Kentucky especially secondary roads. Some main roads, such as I-64, range between clear with wet travel lanes to scattered snowy conditions. Air and pavement temperatures average 26-30 degrees. Some snowfall is still occurring.
