Looking at rain right along the coast, but inland now were starting to see more and more snow. And as that snow fills in, thats when were going to start to see those amounts creeping up. Over a foot of snow in parts of the Shenandoah Valley. That is likely to start accumulating in washington, d. C. Heres what the system looks like making its way up the coast, starting this afternoon on into tonight and tomorrow. As that low pulls up, it draws in moisture from the atlantaic. Its also going to be bringing in beach erosion and coastal flooding because of the strong easterly effects of those winds. But the snow right now will be the big story. These are the accumulations we expect over the next 12 hours. Heaviest accumulation being here in West Virginia, virginia, and suburban washington, d. C.
